Find out how Sykes can help you with multiple properties
As well as working with individual properties, here at Sykes, we also use our knowledge and experience to work with multi-unit sites to uplift their performance.
We can use our years of expertise within the holiday letting industry to increase the occupancy and revenue of lodge parks, holiday parks, apartments, private estates and more. Here, we detail what we can offer to multi-unit site owners, with an example demonstrating the results that we can deliver for you.
Sykes is committed to ensuring that all of our owners get the best possible returns from their properties. We do this through:
This unique system, built in-house, enables us to optimise the price of each individual property in-line with current demand and can result in owners earning around 10% more in revenue.
You will have access to Sykes’ loyal customer base, 47% of which book again.
Your account manager will be in regular contact to ensure that your set up goes smoothly and to answer any queries. They will also analyse the performance of your properties to provide you with insight into relevant data and trends – helping to increase the revenue of your properties.
Any issues or queries that you or your guests have can be dealt with immediately, as our dedicated customer support team are just a phone call away.
Sykes has an annual marketing spend of more than £26 million, and we use multiple marketing channels such as broadcast media, Search Engine Optimisation, targeted emails, social media and PR.
As part of our marketing strategy, we bid on around 250,000 different Google and Bing search terms to ensure we rank highly in relevant search results, driving even more potential customers to our site.
We also rank highly for many of the relevant organic search terms, helping to further increase visibility of your properties.
We work with some of the biggest names in the travel industry to help our owners extend their reach to potential customers worldwide, therefore increasing bookings. Our partners include Booking.com and Expedia along with their many sub-brands, as well as Vrbo, Tripadvsor, Snaptrip and Holidu.
What you see is what you get with Sykes. We clearly outline what payments we are required to take, and nothing more.
Charteroak Lodges are luxurious rental lodges that sleep between 2 and 6 people, set across two sites in beautiful southern Cornwall. 84 deluxe lodges enjoy high-end design with fantastic attention-to-detail, stylish interiors and most have their own private hot tub.
Charteroak chose Sykes to market its lodges at the start of 2019, and since the partnership was formed, it has seen significant increases in both booking volumes and gross rental income.
Our partnership with Charteroak resulted in:
Our effect on Charteroak’s performance was immediately apparent, with bookings increasing by 17% and gross rental value grew by 28% after the first year of the relationship.
After 2 years of working together, Charteroak maintained a 17% uplift in booking volume, while also enjoying a 33% surge in gross rental.
Charteroak General Manager, Simon Hargreaves, says that the new relationship with Sykes had a positive impact on how the lodges can be booked and rented. Talking specifically about our industry-leading revenue management system, he said:
“It’s a very flexible arrangement, allowing Sykes to respond to market demand, and to appropriately price the product so that both the holidaymaker and the owner benefit from a great value stay.”
He praises the communication methods Sykes uses with changeover teams, which allow for very late bookings to be accepted. He added that this “ultimately benefits the owner, who has invested in a holiday home and wants to maximise occupancy and income.”
As part of its partnership with Sykes, Charteroak enjoys much more exposure as a result of the marketing methods that Sykes uses. This includes being promoted by Sykes’ network of more than 500 international partners, SEO strategies and targeted email campaigns.
Mr Hargreaves, is also impressed by the level of reporting he receives, saying “there are regular updates when a booking is taken and weekly reports to show future bookings as well as being able to access customer feedback to enable owners to keep their product at a high standard.”
While we have been in partnership, Sykes and Charteroak have developed a successful relationship by working together and communicating honestly.
As well as the increase in bookings and gross rental value, Charteroak has also found success by working with our Managed Services team to increase its Net Promoter Score (NPS – this measures customer experience and predicts business growth) by 2 points, taking it to 77 in just a couple of months.
